On June 24th, Taller de José partnered with Catholic Charities and A Night Out to provide a night of fun to women who have suffered from domestic violence. Taller de José often works with domestic violence victims who continue to carry heavy burdens in their lives. A Night Out provides these women with a brief escape to enjoy a night of entertainment and good company.
Women who have received services from Taller de José and Catholic Charities were invited to dinner at Francesca’s restaurant. The group met at Taller de José and traveled to Francesca’s for a delicious Italian meal. In a private room at Francesca’s, the women were provided the space to socialize with one another and with our staff. After dinner, they enjoyed a magic show offered by a very talented, (and bilingual!) magician. The magician told jokes throughout the show and the laughter continued as audience members got involved with each trick. The night ended with dessert and a few group photos to capture memories of the night’s fun. Many thanks to all those who helped make this night possible!
